Hello everyone

My name is Michael and i glad to post at your forums

Me and my friend want to install 2 TL-WA5210G devices on each side
in order to share Internet

The result of the site survey are two

1)I have direct visual contact and vise verse

2)The distance is around 5km ( or 16404199.475066 feet)

The topology will be this one

Home_1 --> TL-WA-5201G At Bridge Mode ------------------5km---------------------TL-WA-5210G At Bridge Mode<--Home_2

and my questions are

1)Will the Home_1 TL-WA-5210G will be able to see Home_2 TL-WA-5210G ? or we will need to buy as well external antenna?
2)Will the Mode of AP affect the question 1? or it is doesn't matter
3)Cause of the distance will we experience packet loss out of the normal (errors) drops ?

Thanks everyone and sorry for my English
And i am sorry for my first lengthy post

Thanks again :)

dont mess with 5210 you will have lots of issues, read the forum you hardly see any issues with TL-WA7510N
Tp-Link has the TL-WA7510N works on 5Ghz no traffic there you will be almost alone, all you have to add is a router on point 2, in case you use
1APmode----2Client mode---Router like TL-WR740N just disable DHCP connected to yellow ethernet ports, to perform as AP
1- you might need and antenna at point 1
2- is doesn't matter as long you enable external antenna
3-is the same question as #1 same answer
about your

using bridge you will have to use WEP security is that the security you wish to use these days

Thank you very much for your respond

1) I remember that the AP acting as Client (Client Mode) used to connect wired users
so if i use a switch is it wrong or i need router ?

2) I confused in this point i need to have external antenna to be at Bridge Mode ?
or it is better with external one ?

3)Thank your Bridging and WEP Security declaration

Thanks

1-the second 5210 as Client wont give you wireless, thats why ypu need a router as AP to deliver wireless
2-the external antenna its cause you are pointing to 5 km. is not a rule, start with two 5210s or two 7510s in case you have issues then add the external antenna, and to answer, always be bettrer with external antenna, in case of 5210 has one antenna for transmit and receive.
read the specs of 7510 has two antennas one for transmit and the other for receiving.

for 7510 this one http://www.tp-link.us/products/details/?categoryid=2474&model=TL-ANT5830B on AP1 enabling external antenna, dont buy it unless needed.
pointing two CPEs its very easy cause of the Antenna Beamwidth Horizontal: 60° Vertical: 14° pointing the antenna TL-ANT5830B you have to be acurrate HPBW/H( °) 6 and HPBW/V( °) 4 as you can see the Antenna Beamwidth is a lot less
