I have the unit working in bridge mode, directly connected to my router. However I was under the impression that I could connect the CPE wirelesly to my router in order to extend my range.

Is this possible or have I bought the wrong product?

Any help appreciated

Never a wise choice to use it as a repeater. This is made for P2P. Even it has the mode repeater/bridge, they're not recommended.
