Connect 2 108E over one Ethernet cable - Configure VLAN - as there are 2 set of IPs on each side
Hi!
I have 2 SG108E
What I am trying to achieve is connect 2 SG108E using one lan Cable
On 1st SG108E
Port 1 - Ethernet Connecting - 1st SG108E with 2nd SG108E
Port 2- 192.168.0.24 - LAN A
Port 3 - 12.50.4.24 - LAN B
Port 4 - 8 - Empty but need to be used for Expansion of LAN B
Both LAN A and LAN B dont need to communicate with each other - they are parts of different network that do not locally converge.
On 2nd SG108E
Port 1 - Ethernet Connecting - 2nd SG108E with 1st SG108E
Port 2- 192.168.0.30 - LAN A
Port 3 - 12.50.4.30 - LAN B
Port 4 - 8 - Empty but need to be used for Expansion of LAN B
Given Above is the physical connections
These two Switches are around 70 Mtrs apart and it is not possible to pull another Ethernet cable
So Basically As of now it is in auto Mode without any config as plug and play - With Port 2 being empty at both ends - and all works fine as it is all part of the same network
The problem is now I need to connect another network though the one cable joining these Switches
cant seem to understand how exactly to go about this
I am a Novice in VLAN - never done anything like this before
