@jantra Its possible the IP address may have changed on the CPE if it was receiving one dynamically. In this case you should be able to connect to it using the fallback IP address. I don't know for sure but think the default fallback is 192.168.0.254 or 245.  Also if you connect directly, I think the laptop and the CPE would need to be on the same subnet, so you would need to know the IP address of the CPE and set the laptop to same subnet. For example if the CPE is using 192.168.0.254 then the laptop would need to be 192.168.0.x.   If you cannot figure it out then the quickest way would be to reset the CPE and start fresh.
