Model: CPE710
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 2.3.0 Build 20211216 Rel. 41372 (5553)

I try to connect to a network on channel 48 but cannot detect it on the CPE 710. only channels greater than 149 are displayed in the search.

What is the solution ?

Dear  @abrekouz

CPE710 does not support channel 48.

In US it supports channel 149-165;

In EU it supports channel 100-140.

the reason why I absolutely want to create a network with channel 48 is that I have a smartphone and an Android TV Box that only connects to channels: 36, 40, 44; 48 With the other 5ghz channels my equipment is not functional.

  @abrekouz just to get a better understanding of what you are trying to accomplish, are you connecting your devices such as phones, laptops, etc to the CPE710 wirelessly?  Because it sounds like you want the CPE710 on 48 so your devices can connect to it.  The channel issue you are having aside, the CPE710 is probably not the right choice for that scenario to begin with.

I have several CPE710 and just doing a scan, and not knowing myself what channels are being used locally, they all only return 149, 153, 157 and 161. So either there is nothing in any of the CPE710s ranges that are using 36, 40, 44 and 48 or the device only connects that the higher end in client mode. My guess would be that it only supports 149-161 for client mode.

  @RickJamesBish

You understood what I wanted. I want the CPE710 to be on channel 48 so my devices can connect to it. If the CPE710 doesn't support low channel like 36, 40, 44, 48, then it's a big problem and the product doesn't have much value. It's too bad.

  @RickJamesBish

If the CPE710 can't or no longer support low channels like 36,40,44,48 then I would consider flashing it with Openwrt. This will void the warranty but it will be my last resort.

  @abrekouz the CPE710 is not the ideal device for an AP in the sense of having multiple devices connect to it. The CPE710 is mainly designed for Point to Point.  CPE710 )))))  (((((CPE710.  The CPE710 on each end is then connected to a device that would handle the wireless connectivity for devices.

What is your scenario?  What area or distance are your trying to get coverage? Regardless it really looks like you have the wrong device. Below is an example of how you might configure CPEs.

  @RickJamesBish

Thanks a lot for your answers.

I think it's a shame not to take advantage of the low bands in 5ghz with CPE710.

So I made the wrong choice. Damage. I don't know if I flash the CPE710 with the OpenWrt it will unlock the CPE710 and take advantage of the low bands in Client mode and in WISP Mode.

What is your opinion ?

  @abrekouz  it is not the right device for what you are doing and that will not change no matter what channels you end up being able to access.

  @Hank21

If I install OpenWrt would CPE710 be able to support the channels: 36, 40, 44, 48
