I have a device connected to one of the ports, but apparently the IP address does not fall in the same range as the one that my PC is in. I would like to know if the switch could help me find it, so that I can configure my PC accordingly and correct. For one thing I know UBNT's EdgeSwitch series make this possible.

Enable IPv4 routing and check the ARP table.

But, how does the ARP table look like? Also, check the MAC address table to be sure that the device is really connected.

 

I guess, if you are using the switch with Omada, you lose all those nice features and full control of the switch.

A device's IP address can be obtained if it is linked to the internet. This data can be retrieved with the help of network programs like a ping test or port scanner. Moreover, the administrative page of many routers will provide the IP addresses of connected devices.

Actually, you can see those IP addresses in Omada Controller, too, in the clients view.

@scilek Yes, it is possible to get the IP address of a connected device. You can either use the command line tool "ipconfig" on Windows, or "ifconfig" on macOS/Linux to find the IP address of the device. However, if you are using Omada SDN, you can also view the IP address of connected devices in the Omada controller's "Settings" tab.
