Hi,

I recently set up a pair of CPE710s for internet access but am having difficulty and have almost tapped my technical skills.

I have fiber hooked up to a barn bear the road. The ONT modem is plugged into a CPE710 in AP mode. This is then locked to a CPE710 in client mode at my house approximately 200 meters away. The client CPE connects to a router which should provide the home internet.

ONT---CPE710(AP) >>><<<CPE710(Client)----Orbi Router

I am able to Access the client CPE via the home network. The CPEs are connected and have a strong signal. However I cannot manage the AP from my home network. Additionally there is no internet access on my house side.

I am fairly certain that I have messed something up with the IP settings or subnet but am not sure what is required to get this working.

AP CPE is set to DHCP mode. Client is static. The idea was that the AP would get its IP from the ISP and the router would connect to the static Client but this doesn't feel right. Especially when I'm connecting to the Client CPE via the router WAN port.

Additional information:

Router IPs: 192.168.1.x

ISP is ziply fiber and should work with DHCP and no login.

Thank you in advance for any help!

Hi,

I recently set up CPE710s for internet access, but I'm having trouble with the configuration. I have a fiber connection to a barn near the road, and the CPEs are connected in AP and client mode. However, I can't manage the AP from my home network, and there's no internet access on my house side. I suspect it's an issue with IP Skills settings or the subnet. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks.

@Retro7631 Is your ISP modem set as DHCP, meaning it assigns IP addresses to your network?

You state that the CPE710 connected to the ISP Modem is set to DHCP. Are you saying it is set to Dynamic under network connection type, or do you have DHCP Server enabled?

Screen captures of your network and status tab or each CPE710 would be helpful.
