Hi guys,

I'm struggling in getting my SG3428XMP up and running. After initial configuration I have a simple setup with one VLAN, with assigned IP address: 192.168.1.1. I also configured a DHCP server properly, so each client gets an IP address from 192.168.1.0/24. The last step from the initial setup I do not know how to complete is to connect my device with my ISP.

When I connect the cable (RJ45) to my switch to port 1 of my switch, the port's LED turns to amber and that's it. The switch gets no IP address. I'm sure ISP provides IP address via their DHCP server (when I connect my old router or a PC, both get the IP from the ISP).

I was unable to find a dhcp client feaure under L3 Features, neither on the interface settings.

How can I set up a WAN port on port 1, with DHCP client enabled?

I'm setting up my TL-SG3428XMP via web browser.

Thank you in advance for any piece of an advice.

  @qpon

Hi, dude, SG3428XMP is a switch, not a router, not a NAT device, though you can set it as DHCP Server, you also need to use a router connects to your ISP.

Just striving to develop myself while helping others.
