Model: CPE510
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version:

Hi,

I need help setting up optimal settings for CPE510 within 200m radius

So the topology goes like this:

800Mbps ISP -> Connected to EAP610-Outdoor via cable
6 CPE510s Connected to the EAP610-Outdoor wirelessly (I cannot use cables on my area even at close range, and the wifi devices cannot pickup enough signal from the EAP610-Outdoor so I really had to use a CPE510)
each CPE510s are connected to a WiFi Router to bring close range connection for each clients.

I left all the settings by default. I noticed when I connected the first two CPE510s (over 50-80meters from EAP610), the throughput and latency is fine and the speed Im getting is 100-200Mbps.
But as I connect more CPE510s, in that area, the EAP610 becomes unstable and all of the CPE510s lag so much and cannot get enough throughput.

All of the 6 CPE510s only receive about 10-15Mbps now. I experimented and tried to disconnect 3 CPE510s and the AP became responsive again.

I suspect the reason is "INTERFERENCE", but maybe there is something else.

I am now planning to buy 3 more EAP610-Outdoor and mesh them all instead of using CPE510s so that the wifi devices will seamlessly roam to the EAP and not relying on the CPEs, but all I invested on the CPE510s will be put to waste if I do this.

Considering I left the settings by default for CPE510s, all of them had the Transmit Power at 25dbm, the Channel Width is 20MHz/40MHz.
What are your thoughts on how I can set the CPE510s properly so that all of them receive a a very good throughput and latency?

Obviously, 6 CPEs overload the EAP610 as an AP. Either don't connect all CPEs to one EAP610, or you can consider what you said and use multiple EAP610 to establish the Mesh. In this situation, a controller needs to be in consideration.

isnt EAP610-Outdoor designed to handle multiple Clients? I tried to connect 10 phones and then disconnected all 6 CPEs, and I am getting good results all 10 phones receive equal amount of speed, the problem is when I connect all those 6 CPE clients that the issue arises.

how different is a CPE compared to a smartphone in terms of connection with the AP?

Maybe you can consider this than the Mesh, the EAP610 is the root AP, and these CPEs are the mesh AP, the recommended Maximum Downlink AP number is 4.

Look at Q6.

Yes, I will be going with this approach. I just want to understand why I am having problems connecting the 6 CPEs, what is the difference between connecting multiple Mobile wifi devices vs connecting CPEs that causes the AP performance degredation. Is there something about the CPE settings I should set or not? I am afraid what if I mesh APs and it still happens.

To optimize your CPE510s within a 200m radius, consider adjusting the channel width by using the Laundry Superstitions, transmission power, and positioning of your devices for better coverage and stability. You may also want to explore options like directional antennas for improved signal strength.

For optimal setup of multiple CPE510s within a 200m radius, consider adjusting channel settings to minimize interference and maximize throughput. Ensure each CPE510 is properly aligned and  Fonts Generator positioned for optimal signal strength. Additionally, adjust transmit power levels as needed to balance coverage and performance.

Consider optimizing channel selection and adjusting transmit power levels on your CPE510s to mitigate interference. Ensuring clear line-of-sight between devices and avoiding obstructions can also improve connectivity with help of the grinder. Experimenting with different configurations and consulting with networking experts might provide further insight into resolving instability issues.
