  @Fae I noticed today that via the controller inteface there appears to be a Release Candidate for the 5.2 firmware update

This is great news!!

While we are not able to deploy Release Candidates into a production environment we anxiously await the Official release. Do you have a date set for the Official Release?

Thanks again for all your help.

  @KarlTheViking

Hi there.

I have been keeping an eye on this thread as I have a few eap245 v3 out in the wild.

I also had the release candidate firmware notice for the the 245 and all i can say is DO NOT UPDATE.

It appears that the Omada controller is pushing V4 firmware and "OOO BOY' does it ever fry the eap245 V3 ap

After updating the ap would not respond to anything and in the end I was forced to do a emergency firmware recovery downgrade to 5.0.5

Even trying to force load the old 5.1.0 did not work via TFTP

The EAP would not function properly, radio settings would not apply in either standalone or controller mode.

Hi everyone i have a strange issue with EAP245 V3, with Firmware: 5.2.0 Build 20240914 Rel. 59923

This EAP is being used for an office network and usually around 50 client connected to it. The issue is any one of the client out of 50 will have an issue accesing the internet. It will connect to the wifi but says "NO INTERNET" and that user/client will cannot access anything on the browser.

On the Omada Hardwade controller OC200 that client will be shown as connected with IP adderess assigned to it and some MB of data being used.  If i restart the EAP that client with the issue will be able to connect to the wifi and will be able to use internet but now someone else will have that "NO internet" issue.
One thing i noticed is whoever faces this issue they have Realtech wifi adaptor in their Laptop. If its the problem of the Realtech adaptor that client should not be able to connect back when the EAP is restarted.

I am using Mac based authentication for this SSID

What can be the issue hear?

Note: we have EAP245 V4 with Firmware: 1.3.1 Build 20240402 Rel. 51074 which doesn't have this issue.
