Smart Switch - configure before implementing to LAN
Region : Australia
Model : TL-SG2216WEB
Hardware Version : V2
Firmware Version :
ISP :
This is more of a FYI, because I had forgotten how to do this and after a bit of research it all came back to me. :o
The default IP of the Smart Switch is 192.168.0.1 and the LAN network may not be compatible to this IP.
So you'll have to configure a static IP on a standalone computer first.
See this link : ( http://windows.microsoft.com/en-au/windows7/change-tcp-ip-settings)
Pay attention to Step 4, and select Use the following IP address.
Enter IP 192.168.0.2
Subnet mask will automatically populate, if not enter 255.255.255.0
Connect LAN cable directly to switch and standalone computer.
Open internet browser and enter the current IP of the switch (192.168.0.1)
Log into the switch with the default username and password as supervisor / supervisor
Select Network Setting / Switch IP Address
Here you can enter a compatible LAN IP address for the Switch.
:) Cheers'
