Hi, can anyone please give detailed info on how to setup port trunking for this switch or direct me to better information than in the documentation on CD.

I have single switch sitting in-between two Server 2012R2 Hyper-V hosts. The hosts have 8 Nics each and I have setup the various V-Lans on the TP-Link switch. The public facing V-Lan 2 Team needs to have access to the trunk.

The trunk is using 2 nics on each host as team and is the VMs virtual switch. I cannot get the VMs to see the public network, thus the VM are saying unidentified network with a !

Also the supplier website from where this switch was purchased from indicated this could do jumbo packets? Cannot see where!

Any help much appreciated.

Oh the location is the UK. I have had to put the model and firmware in title as it keeps reverting to location as Argentina and incorrect Model Number as soon as I preview post!

Hi, PJE

You need:

1) Configure Port Trunk on TL-SG1024DE

Read TL-SG1024DE User Guide -> Port Trunk:
http://tplink-manuals.org/tplink-tl-sg1016de-sg1024de-user-guide/17/

2) Use "Switch Dependent" team mode by configuring "Teaming Mode" = LACP on your Hyper-V Server 2012

Read NIC Teaming in Windows Server 2012:
http://blogs.technet.com/b/keithmayer/archive/2012/10/16/nic-teaming-in-windows-server-2012-do-i-need-to-configure-my-switch.aspx

TL-SG1024DE has 10240Bytes Jumbo Frame support. It it enabled by default.
