Max distance of PoE Injector for TL-WA7510N?
Region : UnitedStates
Model : TL-WA7510N
Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version :
ISP : Verizon FIOS
Hi,
Sort of a follow up question to this issue. http://forum.tp-link.com/showthread.php?76618-Dropping-Connection-Over-and-Over®ion=china
What is the max distance the PoE injector included with the TL-WA7510N can send power to power up the Access Point correctly? I'm currently running it over a 75' cable and every time one of my devices connects to the Access Point, I drop connection and the lights showing the wireless strength on the AP go off. Then they come back on again and then go off again. This is a constant cycle.
I did many tests and I think the issue is with the PoE injector. My last test took the PoE injector outside where I connected its PoE port to the AP with a 7' cat-5 cable. I then plugged it into an exterior outlet about 15' away from the PoE injector with the use of an extension cord. Finally, I connected the 75' cable to the Lan port of the PoE Injector. That 75' cable goes into my house and into my router. This connection caused no issues. Everything worked fine. So my guess is the PoE injector is not too strong. Is there a replacement I can use? I have 2 different PoE Injectors (EnGenius and Axis) and neither will power the AP.
Any comments or suggestions?
Thanks,
Chris
