Hardware Version : V1

Firmware Version : 5ghz

Hi, I have purchased a TL-WA7510N via my local internet provider which works well, but soon I will travel and am wondering
if I can use this device to receive any Public wifi, for example if I have the user/password of a local internet cafe but I live 1km
away. Is this the correct device to use to boost/receive any Wifi signal?
or does this device require 2 devices, one to transmit, 1 to send?
thanks in advance. Jon

If the device in the Internet Cafe is capable of sending and receiving packets 1 KM away then you will be able to connect with the Internet Cafe with your WA7510N. Which device does you internet cafe uses.

seems you know the cafe owner, so, yes that would be the ideal 2 devices, but when you travel it wont work, cause 7510 is a 5Ghz device and Cafes are usually 2.4 Ghz so if you want to kill 2 birds with one shot, buy 2.4 Ghz, devices
7510 is a Legacy device buy CPE510 this are 5Ghz, devices
5210, is a Legacy device, buy 7210 old and the new Phartos line CPE210 this are 2.4 Ghz. devices.
