Extend wireless using TL-WA5210G

I'm using a ZyXEL P-660HN-T1H ADSL modem for my internet access in home. Its wireless signal doesn't reach to upstairs so I bought TL-WA5210G to extend the signal to second floor.
Please clarify which way it's the best solution to extend my wireless to second floor. I can't use wire to connect two devices and use it as AP. I tried repeater and universal repeater and bridge with AP mode enabled but no success. Please tell me all the options should I use.
1.any setting should I set in ZyXEL? Or knowing it's SSID and password is sufficient?
2.guess my ZyXEL ip is 192.168.1.1 and TPLINK is 192.168.1.254 , please tell me ip configurations also to set in TPLINK (e.g. gateway should be 1.1 ?)
