I have the same issue.
I have a TL-WA701ND V2. The same model but V1 version has more capacity, why?

We have an inn where many people is managed by usinc MAC filtering. We have 2 routers provided by my ISP with independents connections and after the routers we have a TL-WA701ND V1 and another brand AP. With the TL-WA701ND V1 we have more than 40 users.

Admin, can you give me some suggestions? :o
