Should connecting a network hub to client radio work for a few hard wired computers.

i have setup a access point & client wireless link, when I plug the network cable from the client radio into a laptop the internet works, but when I plug the network cable into a tp-link 5 port hub & then plug the laptop into the network hub the internet doesn't work.
Are you supposed to be able to connect a hub to share the internet to hard wired computers from a client radio?
