The unit has not been used in about six months but powered up fine and gave me a login prompt.

At the prompt I realized I had forgotten my password.

I did a factory reset using the reset button. After the reset I am no longer able to connect to the 192.168.1.254. If fails to connect. I tried both a DHCP configuration on my computer and a static ip of 192.168.1.10 with no gateway, a gateway of 192.168.1.1 and a gateway of 192.168.1.254. In all four attempts I was not able to ping the 192.168.1.254 nor was I able to get a login prompt on my browser when pointed at 192.168.1.254

I tried a second reset and power cycled both my PC and the TP-Link.

I am thinking the unit failed the reset somewhere in midsteam.

Any ideas?
