HI

I'm trying to understand the cable test function on my switch.

First, does anyone know why I can only test ports 1 to 14? I have 16 ports, so why can't I test the last two?

Second, I'm trying to understand the results of a test in terms of cable pinouts.

If I'm right, Pair-A/B/C/D refers to the 1000Base-T MDI/MDI-X naming. I'm cabling my home using 568B MDI (straight-through). If I'm correct, then the mapping is as follows:

Pin 568B 100BaseTX Pair 1000Base-T Pair
1 White/Orange 2 A
2 Solid Orange 2 A
3 White/Green 3 B
4 Solid Blue 1 C
5 White/Blue 1 C
6 Solid Green 3 B
7 White/Brown 4 D
8 Solid Brown 4 D

Can anyone confirm this for me?

Thanks in advance
