Model : TL-WA5210G

Hardware Version : V1

Firmware Version : 4.4.8 Build 130502 Rel.61441n

ISP : OTE

Hey guys,

I'm having problems with my home network. I've got a rather basic modem/router from my ISP (ZTE H108NS) which I'm using as the main way to connect to the internet. And then I've connected the TL-W5210G via ethernet on the modem in AP mode as a wifi access point for my laptop and phones.

To be more precise on the ZTE modem I've got the DHCP server enabled from 192.168.1.2 till 253 and then W5210G (with ip 1.253) as an access point without DHCP enabled so it can use the ZTE's server. My problem lately is that I'm having difficulties connecting to either wifi networks. At first sometimes my laptop wouldn't connect on the first one so I'd try the other one and it would work but lately it doesn't connect to either. It connects to the W5210G wifi only when I restart it.

Right now after restarting both devices only WA5210 wifi seems to be working. Can't connect to ZTE wifi from my laptop or my phone.

Why does this keep happening? Am I configuring something wrong or is it some sort of bug? And if so why is ZTE wifi affected all of a sudden?

Thanks in advance for your help. Let me know if you need more details.

You are setting a ip in the dhcp pool of the ZTE change 5210 ip to 1.1
Is the SSID (wifi name) the same or different, if its the same and issue continúes rename it to a dif from ZTE

But ZTE has 1.1 as it's default gateway. Won't that cause problems? Especially when trying to access the web interfaces?

They have different names so that's not the problem.

Why would that help? Is there a reason?

Still having troubles. Made some changes but don't seem to make any difference. Also right now I can't even automatically connect to the ZTE wifi. It won't give me a valid IP address. Only way I was able to connect was by using static IP.

Devices ZTE TP- LINK
Connection Type PPPoE (LLC) AP
IP address 192.168.1.1 192.168.1.200
DHCP 192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.100 Disabled
WiFi WPA2-PSK(AES) WPA2-PSK(AES)
Chanel 06 11

Also from my default modem:

Modulation: ITU G.992.5 (ADSL2PLUS)
Annex Mode: ANNEX_A
SNR Margin(Down/Up): 10.7dB / 11.6 dB
Line Attenuation (Down/Up): 9.9 dB / 5.0 dB
Data Rate: 20200 kbps / 1000 kbps

Could the problem be because of my low SNR Margins? Any other cause you might know of?
