Hi there TPLINK wireless experts, can someone advise why I cannot connect 7210N CLIENT MODE to another 7201N in AP mode?
The RSSI varies from 18dB to 20dB yet they cannot talk to each other. Antenna alignment is ok. Both have FW version 140730. Internet cannot passthrough from AP to CLIENT and cannot be PING either in both directions.
Distance is 3.5Km with very clear LOS, Point A is 100ft, while Point B is 380ft.
Can they be connected in different operation mode, except AP-CLIENT?
PLease advise.
Thank you.

Can they be connected in different operation mode, except AP-CLIENT?
strange question coming from you.
Yes it can be linked, WISP mode (aka AP-Client-Router), but that will be a repeating mode, I dont advise.
On the other side, if you cant to AP-Client, the easiest and best mode, means you have a issue, you need to norrow down the issue.
post info.
Gateway from ISP router
IPs from AP & Client
AP-SSID
Screen shot from the Client survey.
and last, can you connect with any wireless device to AP and surf the Web

Thanks Darren for the vital infos. I have found out that the other unit has a problem. I set it back to factory setting, yet, not working. I upgraded it to latest firmware, still not working.

Is it a new problem with another WA7210N? What do you mean by not working, not available to connect with any other AP? Is it working well before? I am a little confused with this...
BTW, have you fixed the previous connection issue?
Yes, its same problem. Actually, they are connecting already (AP-CLIENT), they have same FW version. RSSI is ok. Antenna Alignment is ok, almost 60%. Yet, no traffic in betwene them. I cannot do PING TEST either of the way.
This problem hasn't been resolved yet. Very strange. Beforehand, the CLIENT is an older version of FW. But now that they have same FW, still not working.
