Hello,

I have a WA5210G connected via Cat5 cable to my Home Internet router and set as AP mode with the goal of getting internet to my detached garage which is ~200FT outside away.

When connected to my home router (wired or wireless), I get speeds 20Mbps+ but anywhere outside when connected to the WA5210G AP my speeds drop to 1-4Mbps with a good signal.

Do i need to adjust the gain and distance settings to help this problem or am i overlooking something else ?

Thanks,
Pete

Wrong goal, 52 supports 60mts. of Cat cable, and it's a outdoor device, run the 60 or at least between 40 or 50 mts of cable and deploy outside, closest able to detached garage, and you will see the difference

The wireless distance needed is ~200FT but the Ethernet cable attached isn't more than 30FT.

I went ahead and performed a speed test directly on the Ethernet cable which is attached to the WA5210G and got speeds 20+Mbps very consistently to verify cabling is working properly.

Additionally, I changed the distance setting to Indoor option and my speeds marginally improved to 4.5Mbps. Do you guys suggest changing the transmit power option from the default setting?
