I am a newbie to this and could use some knowledge.
Here is what I am trying to do. The Marina I have a slip at has an outdoor WAP. I'm not sure what make or model it is.
I am about 300 feet away from it and was hoping to connect my laptop to it. There are a couple obstacles between my slip and the WAP. But would have no obstacles if mounted above roofline.

What products should I be looking at?

TL-WA7210N will meet your need.

Hang up TL-WA7210N one meters higher above the roofline. Configure it as Client mode.

CPE210 will be overkill.

2-CPE210 will be overkill.

1-deploy night as need it, there should be no obstacles, Clear Line of Sight and Freznel Zone isn’t everything; It’s the only thing.
Adapted quote from Vince Lombardi
2-just lower the power, and will not be overkill, 7210 is a nightmare device

add:
I did't mean that CPE210 is too "high power", I meant TL-WA7210N is enough for this case so you don't need CPE210 (CPE210 costs more.)

When pricing out both the TL-WA7210N and the CPE210, for some reason I find cheaper prices on the CPE210.

Because of the price I will probably go with the CPE210. But what do I need to know to make sure I have this working correctly?

BTW, why is the TL-WA7210N a "nightmare device"?

Thanks

I have been finding cheaper prices on the CPE210. If I go with this product, what do I need to know to make sure I have this setup correctly?

Also, what makes the TL-WA7210N a "nightmare product"?

Thanks

When I check prices I find the CPE210 to be priced less. If I go with this product, what will I need to make sure I do to Insure I have everything set up correctly?

Also, what makes the 7210 a "nightmare device"?

Thanks

1-if by insure you mean guarantee of work, that will ne up to your knowledge, for what I read in your Thread, you need to repeat internet, in your case will be AP-Client-Router mode to be set
2-if you have the money, and in your case as you post, model 2015 is cheaper than model 2014, if it was a car, which one you buy, of course the answer is the newer car right,
if you want your original question to be answer, read wifi forums.
