Hello!

I am having an issue with Wi-Fi Calling on my EAP773 AP.

When my phone is connected to the Wi-Fi network broadcast by the EAP773, Wi-Fi Calling doesn't work – the phone never establishes a Wi-Fi Calling connection and all calls go through the mobile network.

 

Things I have already checked:

- On another Wi-Fi network in the same LAN (Wi-Fi from my Draytek router, same internet connection and VLAN) Wi-Fi Calling works fine.
- The problem is only present when connected to the EAP773.
- The EAP773 is managed by Omada Cloud, but I also tested it in standalone mode – the issue is the same.
- I tested with different phones and different SIM cards (different mobile operators) – same result.
- I created a very simple test SSID (open / no security, default settings) – Wi-Fi Calling still does not work.
 

Have anyone expected this problems with wifi calling? 

I will be grateful for any suggestions, what should be changed to make wifi calling working.

To understand the situation better, please share with us the following info:

1. When did you first notice this situation? since the installation of the EAP? or did it work before?

2. Does this happens on all wireless clients? 

3. Do other Internet activities affected?

4. Will the issue persist if both the caller and receiver are connected to the same EAP SSID?

 

- I created a very simple test SSID (open / no security, default settings) – Wi-Fi Calling still does not work.

1. When did you first notice this situation? since the installation of the EAP? or did it work before?

It's since the installation, but I just bought it, so I noticed it after 2-3 weeks and start debugging

2. Does this happens on all wireless clients? 

Yes, the problem is on all phones connected to AP

3. Do other Internet activities affected?

No, everything else works normally. Only Wi-Fi calling is affected.

4. Will the issue persist if both the caller and receiver are connected to the same EAP SSID?

Yes. I tested calling a receiver who was connected to the same network, and the call still failed.
