Hi Omada Support,
Maybe you can help me with this problem.

On one of our sites, there is a very annoying problem with the Login Portal not appearing when the device is connected, and this problem occurred suddenly without any changes to the configuration or firmware that I made.

Notes: The configuration for HTTPS redirection is already enabled.

 

For the devices at that site, I have listed them below:

- ER605 V2.20 - Firmware 2.3.1

- SG2210MP V5.0 - Firmware 5.0.11

- EAP613 (US) V1.0 - Firmware 1.6.0

- Current Version Cloud Con. 6.0.0.100

One case I have tried is accessing the link I have provided in the Pre-Auth Access Portal, and that link cannot be accessed. Is there a solution for this issue?

  @MamangRacing25 Are you able to access any other sites or is network connectivity down entirely when connecting to that EAP? If the latter, is it possible to reboot the EAP? 

 

Failing that, would it be possible to disable the portal authentication and try connecting to the internet?

Hi Sir, Thank you for the reply.

This problem only happen in Portal Authentication only, when i manually authorize the devices, it works like normal, all internet is working. This site use starlink as an ISP, and well known nothing problem with the hardware and package plan/monthly billing.
This case also happen after 2 days since this site is imported to Omada Cloud, at the first hour, all the function is working well, portal working, ACL URL Filtering working as expected, but i remembered when the firmware for ER605 is updated to 2.3.0, this problem happen, then i manually update the firmware to 2.3.1 (of course from omada web firmware support), also try to reset or restart all the hardware remotly, still no luck.

Any Advice for this case?
Want to know also, all the URL and ACL rules will work after the devices is pass the portal right? before it, all the configuration only following the Pre Auth.

  @MamangRacing25 With regards to your last statement, yes, the ACL rules apply after portal authentication is passed; users should only be able to access the pre-auth page before authenticating. 

 

Does the issue happen across all devices that attempt to connect via the portal authentication (both phones, computers, etc.)? 
Can you send a list of the URLs you have allowed in the Pre-Auth field?

Other site in my cloud controller now infected also, please advise?

  @MamangRacing25 Can you try removing all URLs from the pre-authentication access list and try again? 

Also, have you tried remaking the captive portal from scratch? To me, it seems like a configuration issue, so I'd like to see if starting from scratch with the bare minimum configurations will work here.
