Model: VIGI NVR1008H-8P
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.2

Model: VIGI NVR1008H

Hi,

I recently purchased the VIGI NVR 1008HH(UN) 2.0 (Firmware Version: 1.2). The device works correctly with two Hikvision cameras connected via Ethernet.

However, when I connect four Tapo C211 cameras, the NVR starts rebooting continuously.

Could you please advise what might be causing this issue?
Is there any workaround or configuration I can try, or should I return the unit?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Best regards,
Victor

 Hi,@FACHASA
Thank you for posting your query on our business community.

We are reaching out to confirm whether your issue has been properly resolved.

The Tapo C211 is a wireless camera that does not support direct connection to an NVR. We would like to clarify your description: does your NVR restart unexpectedly when the Tapo C211 is connected to the same network as your VIGI NVR? Or does the NVR restart when you attempt to add the Tapo camera to it?

Generally, Tapo cameras can be added to VIGI NVR as third-party cameras. You may try the steps below to add the Tapo Cameras: first configure the account and password for your Tapo camera via the Tapo App, connect it to the same network as your NVR, then attempt to add it to the NVR again.

If you still encounter any issues after the above attempt, please feel free to contact us at any time, and kindly provide the information we mentioned earlier to help us better analyze your case. Thank you for your cooperation.

Hi  @FACHASA

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

May I know if the NVR1008H--8P starts rebooting once the 4 tapo 211 connected to it? It worked fine before?

Could confirm the right hardware and firmware version of your NVR and your network topology for our reference?

By the way, is the rebooting ended automatically or manually unplugging the power to make it work again? Can you provide the model number of your 2 Hikvision cameras as well?
