How sould I connct a 10gb sfp+ rj45 to a 10gb+ rj45 WIFI AP
I;ve created a vlan which I want to use to connect one of the 10gb sfp_ ports to my netgear wbe750 wifi AP which is 10gb capable but I'm not sure how to do this?
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi @Hoser7632,
You will need a few things...
- An sfp+ rj45 transceiver: The SM5310-T from TP-Link should work, but there are other brands that are compatable.
- Power supplied directly to the AP's DC port with a 12V 3.5A power suply OR over the network cable using a 802.3bt POE++ Injector.
Depending on the power choice, it would get wired together like this...
- [Switch] - [SFP+ RJ45] <ethernet (data)> [AP] <low voltage wire> [12V 3.5A Power Suply]
- [Switch] - [SFP+ RJ45] <ethernet (data)> [802.3bt Injector] <ethernet (data/power)> [AP]
You may need to manually set the link speeds on the switch port and AP to 10GB once it's all connected. Also note that the sfp+ rj45 transceivers get rather hot to the touch. Useing just one shouldn't cause any heat related issues with the switch.
