Dear All,
Thanks for the support at my previous posts. I have a problem now with Pharos CPE510. A friend of mine bring me a pharos as a gift from China. The backend 192.168.0.254 is in Chinese and I cannot change language. Even if I translate it with google translate the only language there is Chinese. I update the firmware but the language is still Chinese. What do I have to do ?
Thanks.!

this is what I would do
open a Emulator here is the link http://www.tp-link.com/resources/simulator/CPE510/index.html
and setup 510, the emulator will be your guide
Emulator firmware is 1.3.0 load same firmware, so everything is identical
you set it once in a life time, so the language is not a issue.
Chorme only translates web pages not web-interfaces

Reset the device and login to the web management page. You could select the language of English/Spanish/Russian/Chinese.

@bird updating the firmware is equivalent to a reset

Besides, there is access to change language on the web management page.
Navigate to SYSTEM > Device > Language and select the type of language you want.

Dude. The Chinese version is very different. I am afraid that the language is locked.

The last thing you can try is TFTP recovery...if you will take the risk of bricking it.

1-there will be no dif. loading via Recovery
2-you will never brick it, can't explain why, but that's the way it was designed, you can even power off in the middle of Recovery, and nothing happens
