Dear Everyone!

I have bought a TP-Link TL-SG108E "smart" switch, which supports IGMP snooping.

I have enabled the feature through the utility, but it does not show any multicast group, it only shows multicast groups when its turned off.

However i have noticed at the official TPLink site, a number 1, a mark, stating that IGMP snooping only works with V2.

Really, a VLAN capable smart switch without IGMP snooping functionality? When i bought it, i found nowhere that it does not supports IGMP snooping.

Am I wrong or i have to return it to the dealer? I mainly need this switch to test IPTV headend, and it relies on IGMP/Multicast.

Thank You

The TL-SG108E_v1 does support IGMP Snooping, so I think your problem may caused by other factors.

Thank You for the answer.

So it's an unfair business attitude. When I bought the SG108E, just the V1 was, no V2 Hw rev, and V1 was advertised that it supports IGMP snooping. When V2 arrived, they have modified the specifications that only V2 supports IGMP snooping.

no, I do not aggress with you. In the spec of the 108E, it says it support IGMP Snooping, and it does not says only v2 supports.
