TL-SX3206HPP mounting position
Hi, I'm planning to buy another SX3206HPP, but have a rather unusual installation question. The place I want to install it, it only allows me vertical mount, with the ports facing sideways.
In the documentation, it is only indicated horizontal mount, however, if I mount it in such a way, that the heat is pushed upwards, would it be a problem? Or are the fan bearings not suitable for side loading?
Thanks for answering.

@liviu2004 The switches are not designed to be mounted vertically, so unfortunately, we cannot recommend that you mount it this way. If there is no other option, we highly advise you monitor the switch temperatures and make sure it stays within the operating temperature range (0-50 degrees Celsius, or 32-122 degrees Fahrenheit). However, we cannot officially recommend you mount it vertically and encourage you mount according to the installation instructions.

@NeilR_M Thanks for your clear reply, if the design did not account for vertical mount, I will not proceed to do so.

Well, couldn't find another suitable 10G managed poe switch, with sfp+ uplink, so still bought a second SX3206HPP and mount it vertical. And with the fans blowind down.
Surprinsinly, or maybe not, it runs 5 degrees Celsius cooler than the other rack mounted switch. It hovers around 43 degrees Celsius, month of April spring. It will be interesting to see how long the fans bearings will last. I will buy some spares just in case.
