I have multiple issues with this NVR, not sure this is a proper venue for reporting, but just in case:

-Onvif profile T not supported with other brand cameras (already posted about this)

-Channel name not being persisted

  I have 2 cameras connected, after a reboot channel 1 list as Ch1-Hik1 but channel 2 shows Ch2-, i.e. name is lost

-Alarms (dry contact) do not show as events.

  In event information there is no event category for alarms. Alarms do not show in playback timeline.

-Alarms do not trigger consistent recording when assigned to multiple channels

-Alarm triggered record does not last based on post-recording time

  It seems records only last 5 seconds ?

 

The whole thing is an attempt to use this NVR with Hik cameras because VIGI does not have (yet ?) high sensitivity ones.

I'm more than open to suggestions about how to integrate alerts into a working system based on this NVR. Using an onvif relay now.

Thanks for your feedback.

The NVR2008H-8MP V2 supports ONVIF profile T and S, you may check its datasheet for more detail.

May I know the model of your third party cameras working with this VIGI NVR? Is there any configuration screenshot to show the issue you raised?

Feedback 3-5 on alarms indicates that the configuration only allows selecting "Recording linkage," without specifying the recording time.You may refer to this guide​​​​​​​ as well.

The cameras are Hikvision DS-2CD2087G3-LI2UY, as stated on this post (https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/860366?moduleId=2932)

where you said it only supported profile S with other vendor cameras ?

You can find there a screenshoot of the NVR not accepting the cameras as source of detection events.

AFAIK not paying attention to alarm post event time recording is a bug as well.

 

If this forum a valid venue to trigger a fix/change request or is there any other means ?

There is some mistake on the previous reply.

Please refer to the data sheet provided for correct information that this VIGI NVR supports both ONVIF profile S and T protocol.

For the alarm requests mentioned, we may need to check more information with our team and would update to you as soon as possible.
