EAP245 - Cannot update firmware but Omada giving warning about outated firmware
Since updating my Omada controller to 6.0.0.24, I have gotten an error on the devices page saying the following:
"devices are using outdated firmware that is no longer supported. Please upgrade to the latest version as soon as possible."
All the devices causing the error are "EAP245(US) v3.0" they are running firmware 5.0.3 from 2021.
Omada shows no new firmware for these devices although other devices have been updating normally.
I tried downloading the firmware directly from the TP-Link website "EAP245 3.0_5.3.3_Build20250627" however after uploading it to Omada and trying to proceed I get an error "failed because the upgrade file is invalid. Please select a correct file."
Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this?
I am concerned these APs may all stop working at some point when I update the controller and the firmware is too old.
