TL-SG105 slowing down comms with printer

Hi All,
my spanking new unmanaged, 5-port switch, model TL-SG105, is giving me joy on all ports except the one linking my printer. It's an HP LaserJet P4015dn, and whenever it's connected to the switch, prints take ages (i.e. 3 full minutes) to get through.
It doesn't do this if the printer is directly connected to the Ethernet controller of my laptop (MacBook Pro 4,1, OSX 10.6.8), and I know the printer is fine otherwise.
[*]My cables are Cat5e UTP and tested with dedicated gear, so rule this out too.
[*]Also, the printer's JetDirect I/O preference is set to 1000TX Full Duplex, as is every bit of gear on the network.
Any idea what I could do to improve this rather awkward "Gigabit" network speed?
