Hi,  @nsnidanko
Thank you for posting your query here.

This issue may occur because your EAP is a customized model. We kindly recommend that you refer to this guide and attempt a manual firmware upgrade for your EAP ( Please refer to Custom Upgrade in Controller mode)How to upgrade EAP firmware in different management modes | TP-Link

Please click on this link to download the firmware of the EAP: EAP653 | Omada Network Support

The link below has firmware versions 1.3.6 and 1.3.7 for a CA model, nothing for the US. Can I use it?

Hi,  @nsnidanko

Yes, you may proceed with upgrading to this firmware version.

Your device is a specialized custom model that does not bear the CA Code marking in the Controller page. Should you encounter any issues during the upgrade process, please do not hesitate to let us know here at any time.

Tried custom upgrade (EAP653v1_1.3.6_[20260306-rel14246]_up_signed.bin) with the same results

  Hi,@nsnidanko Thanks for the reply.

Please ensure that you have fully unzipped the firmware file before proceeding with the upgrade, and that the file you upload is the BIN file.

@Nathan-TP of course it was unzipped. I've posted the explicit file name of the firmware file for a reason.

When I perform update using automatic engine I can't see the file name.
