Hi all, i have a tplink sg3424p and i need to reset him....i've tried with the hyperterminal but i can't comunicate with him...Can anyone help me? I must use only hyperterminal? Thanks

I got the same problem with an SG3216v2 and an SG3424v1.
Ican get in the 3424 from the webpage, but the is no response from the console
I forgot the password from the 3216, can see the webpage, but there is also no response from the console.
I tried with hyperterminal, putty and teraterm.
I used the usb-Adapter before the is no fault.

Did you set Hyperterminal's parameters correctly? Settings should be:
Bits per second: 38400bps
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: None
Then power on the switch. You should see a message "Press CTRL-B to enter the bootrom". Do so to see the bootrom menu. There you can reset the switch.
If it still doesn't work, check the serial cable/adapter you are using.
Bits per second: 38400bps

Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: None
Then power on the switch. You should see a message "Press CTRL-B to enter the bootrom". Do so to see the bootrom menu. There you can reset the switch.
If it still doesn't work, check the serial cable/adapter you are using.
