Can't connect to the switch GUI. I've done everything I can find to clear my ip settings, changed my PATH to put c:\windows\system32 as the first item, ipconfig\reset, powered the laptop down and up (in airplane mode), powered the switch down. I've checked the cable. What else do I need to do/try to connect to the switch?

And "Oh by the way" the Installation guide(s), paper, on the cd, and here on the site, state:

"Note: To log on to the GUI of the switch, the IP address of your PC should be set in the same subnet addresses of the switch. The IP address is 192.168.0.x ("x" is any number from 2 to 254), Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0. For the detailed instructions as to how to do this, please refer to Appendix B in the User Guide."

Except the appendix doesn't exist. I shake my head over how you can do that to people.

TIA to anyone who can help.

The note :To log on to the GUI of the switch, the IP address of your PC should be set in the same subnet addresses of the switch. The IP address is 192.168.0.x ("x" is any number from 2 to 254), Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0 means the default ip of the switch is 192.168.0.X, so you should change your computer's IP into 192.168.0.X. The path is Control Panel---->Network and Internet---->Network and Sharing Center. And click the Local Area Connection. Then click the properties. Find the Internet Protocol Version 4, double-click it.Then input the information the UG told you.( The IP address is 192.168.0.x ("x" is any number from 2 to 254), Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0.)After that , have a try to access the GUI again by using the IP :192.168.0.1

Have a nice day Today I'm starting a discussion related to the subject that disturbs not only professors, but graduates and post-graduates as well. I am speaking about a dissertation writing. I have to admit that writing a dissertation is not the most difficult task in your life, and I don't know why some students just give up. A lot of sources, dissertation writing tips could be found with free access. Require help? Hire a tutor! What would be your solution if you were ignorant? Waiting for your responses, thanks!

Hmm, however I had the same problem but it worked fine after restarting. Get as close as possible to the real router and press and hold the power button on the switch for 5 seconds to enter the network menu. Reboot the switch, and then try to connect to the network. Charge the store or something else and see if the signal goes out. If it does drop off, don't close the notification, just hit the details button and go to the top of the screen. There should be an error code and details explaining what exactly went wrong. Write down the error code and follow the instructions on the screen. If the connection was still lost after following the instructions, I created a support ticket and called Nintendo to fix the problem without major issues each time I called. I hope it helps.
