I have a tp-link TL-SG2216WEB but I forgot the user/password I had used on it. it has been changed from the default admin/admin and I cannot access it. I tried pressing the reset button but nothing changes.
Anyone can help figure out how to reset the switch to factory default?

Generally speaking, the reset button should be pressed for seconds until the LEDs blink.

correct, I've tried depressing the button for multiple seconds and even turning it off and on while pressing reset without look.

Have you ever try to reset your switch by telnet?
Click Start → Run to open the Run window, and type in telnet 192.168.0.1 in the prompt Run window
Type in the User name and Password (the factory default value for both of them are admin) and press the Enter button to enter User EXEC Mode.

Then,type in enable command to enter Privileged EXEC Mode.

Finally, type reset.
TL-SG2216>#reset
wait for few minuites, see does it work.
