Hi,
I upgraded my CPE510 from TP_PharOS_1.3.2_150907 (pharos-up-ver1-3-2-[20150907-rel50509]) to TP_PharOS_1.3.3_160705 (pharos-up-ver1-3-3-P9[20160705-rel52453]) and now the Transmit Beamforming checkbox is gone. Is that a bug? Why is that, did this option not work properly and was removed? That would explain some reception troubles I had.
Also, how do you change the region back from US? It seems to lock (following some US regulation). Will a factory reset allow a region change?

1.3.2 had beamforming on the AP and the AP Client Router settings. On 1.3.3. it seems gone for both.
I still have the older firmware. Do you mean the region can be changed when I downgrade or it will restore Beamforming? Also that link says CPE210 and I have a 510. Is it compatible?
Throughput seems better with the newer firmware (without beamforming) so I don't really miss it. I just wanted to know why it might be disabled.

Pharos series, handles one Bin to all models CPEs 210, 220, 510, 520

Downgrade, upgrade or factory default, that's when you can change Region
This is your and many others case, cause I seen others Pharos capable of doing it on the fly

Hello! I've the same problem with my two cpe510 v1.1 after upgrate to
1.3.3 Build 20160705 Rel. 52453.
In the first one has been removed only the beatforming checkbox and in the second one has been removed beatforming and region field....:confused::confused:
I can't setup test_mode and 40mhz channel width....:(:(
Why???

I have not had the change to take a look to a CPE v1.1 hardware yet, but I think it probably has to do with restrictions set forth by the US regulatory authority FCC (as in FCC reference ET 15-170). If this is indeed the cause for the region selection to be removed by TP-Link under pressure of the FCC, then WiFi devices such as the CPE will be locked to local regulatory conditions.
