CPE510 maxing at 40mbps / 100m distance
Model :
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version :
ISP :
I have 100mb fibre connection,
running a point to point network using tp-link cpe510 5ghz outdoor access points, one in AP mode and one in client mode.
they advertise 300 Mbps wireless N, but as wifi is half duplex i would expect 150 Mbps.
I noticed the lan port on the AP is 10/100. so maybe with 5% loss i might be able to get 95Mbps,
Using the built in speedtest tool using one unit as server and one unit as client
I am maxing out, unidirectional at 61Mbps tx
and bidirectional 29.2Mbps tx and 40.3 Mbps rx = total 65.5Mbps,
so can i get better speeds or do i need to upgrade to more expensive gear? maybe from ubiquiti networks?
i consider myself techy but maybe I need to get a specialist out to look at it?
I want to achieve 95 Mbps downlink speed from the system that is implemented.
thoughts?
