Hey everyone.

Somehow I cannot be finding something on that topic, so sorry for asking here.

I bought a TL-SG1008D back in March 2015 on amazon which broke within a few weeks. I therefore put it away and just found it some days ago while tidying up the flat.
I am out of amazon's warranty timeframe of course by far, but there is a little sticker at the switch's packaging that says "3 Years warranty".
Now the question: Am I able to send the device back to TP-Link directly or is the money I spent for the device gone for nothing?

Are you from Germany (NRW)? If so, did you buy at Amazon Germany? Directly from Amazon EU S.à r.l. or through an Amazon marketplace dealer?
Without detailed information this question cannot be answered in a general manner.

I already called the german support and they told me that the product can be sent there in order to get a new one. It just requires a ticket number and the amazon bill.

Prima. Nur zur Info noch: Du hast immer eine gesetzlich garantierte, zweijährige Gewährleistung auf alle Produkte (nicht Garantie, das ist noch einmal etwas anderes) ggü. dem Händler, also auch für Käufe bei Amazon. Die Garantie leistet direkt der Hersteller darüber hinaus. Ist aber nur in Deutschland so, daher die Antwort auch in deutscher Sprache.
