TP-Link TL-SG108E and Archer D9 not playing together
Model :
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version :
ISP :
Ok. I have been using an Archer D9 for a wired and wireless home network and has worked fine until I need more ports. I have a media server that I have connected through Ethernet to the D9 and am accessing on multiple TV's via the D9's WIFI through DLNA. Because I am building a new house that I will be running network cable to all the rooms with more devices accessing the network I have bought a TL-SG108E smart switch thinking this would help. Problem is if I connect all the devices to the switch including the D9 all the wired devices work fine but no network access on the wireless.
I did read that I can turn off the DHCP on the D9 to make it an access point. I have tried this using http://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-417.html but it still will not work. I'm sure I am missing something else. Or I am trying to use these 2 devises for something they can't do.
I am relatively new to networking so any help would be greatly appreciated. Want I am aiming for is for all devices on the network to be able to access the media server, that is either by cable or wifi.
Cheers
