Hello,

I am working with CPE210 which was brough to me by a friend of mine from London. But I am not able to set it to maximum transmit power of 27dbm as per european guidelines it is allowing only till 11dbm. It is version 1.1. Can I change it to some firmware to make it work at 27dbm. I need this for my project.Also I tried with firmwares on US and India tplink sites but they are the same and dont allow me to set it to 27dbm.Could some one point me to a firmware that would allow me to set it to 27dbm.

Why don't you set the country you are living in CPE210's country menu? It will adopt its maximum TX power to the correct legal maximum EIRP of your country.

My router does not have such an option in the login page. I changed firmware but still it doesnt show that on the login page.i have seen few tplink videos wherein the country can be changed but dont have that in my router.

you try uses the firm pharos-up-ver1-1-0-P35-[20150401-rel55883], once time updated try uses test mode en country selection an uses full power tx, of course at own risk for the legal tx power EIRP..

Could you please give me the download link to this firmware you mentioned. I searched on google and could not find it. Also my CPE210 is EU ver 1.1 and it is not accepting some firmwares as it says not supported by hardware. Please give me a link to download the firmware.

Thanks but mine is EU(Europe) ver 1.1 hardware. Will your firmware work for my version of CPE210? One user in UK was able to replace the europe version of firmware with US version and was getting 27dbm. But I am guessing it was version 1 hardware..Anyways I will try and let you know.

What do you mean with "europe" and "US firmware" versions?

As of today there is only one Pharos firmware version on TP-Link's website and it is exactly the same for Europe and the US. I just downloaded the firmware from TP-Link's US site here:

and from the German website here:

http://www.tp-link.de/download/CPE210_V1.html#Firmware

Both are identical:

Could you please test wether this US firmware version is rejected on your device, too? If so, could you test an emergency restore from the bootloader according to

If TP-Link really installed a special EU firmware version on the v1.1 hardware for the UK, that would be a big step-back IMHO.

What will they do after BREXIT? Go back to HW v1? ;)

I tried all those firmwares (yes they are same) but it does not allow me to set a 27dbm tx power and read this:
