Unable to connect to the Internet

When you first set up Deco, after going through the whole setup process on the Deco APP, sometimes it might end with an Error: Unable to connect to the Internet.

Normally, when you got this error, the LED on the main Deco will also turn red.

Here, we will help you to fix this issue.

1. Please Tap “Skip This Step” on the bottom of the error page.

2. Then make sure the smartphone is connected to the Wi-Fi you just created and go back to Deco APP>More>Advanced>IPV4 to check whether there is a valid IP address here.

  • If the IP address is 0.0.0.0, it is very likely that you might choose the wrong internet connection type. Please check with the internet service provider whether Dynamic IP or PPPOE is the correct one for you.
  • If the IP address is not 0.0.0.0, please refer to this link to change the DNS server on the Deco: How to change DNS server settings on my Deco

3. After changing the DNS, if the LED is still red and also no internet service is available, please connect a computer to the modem directly, and check whether the computer has internet access.

After the above troubleshooting, if you still have any issues, please start a new thread and provide us with more details.

Hello.

I set up a new network at home, and everything works except for one device. It’s the Devialet Expert Pro 220 streaming player. Does anyone have experience with this device? Why can’t I connect via WiFi? It works fine over Ethernet.

Can I setup my mobile Wi-Fi hotspot on the TP-LINK Range Extender "TL-WA850RE" ?

hi

Good Morning. I have a Deco M5 system, main unit connected to Virgin Media router and 3 additional pods around a small terrace house. Since early December I am constantly getting disconnected from the router which is in modem mode. I am getting "no Internet" messages, however the lights on the router and Decos are correct, connected. I tried email support but I got nowhere, the final shot was my units are out of warranty!.

The firmware is upto date and I have tried new upgraded ethernet cables.

The DNS setting have been changed to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

I am not WiFi tech savy and any indept technical advise may be beyond me.

Have my devices reached the end if their days and not able to cope. I have 500mb broadband speed. The model I have is still available to buy on Amazon?

I do not want to go to the expense of replacement and discover I have same issues.

Thank you.

What to do if cannot connect the second extender

Doesn't work at all and I am my place is only 500sq feet with 1 main and 3 satellites already.... Haven't been able to get it with well for the past 3 years!

Hi. Need help badly. I've bought a new mobile tp link m700. I bought a new sim card just for this.

I loaded tge sim with Magic Data (6GB). I tested it on my phone first - it has internet connection. When I inserted it on my mobile tp link, it says connected on the MIFI but says no internet.

I've already checked the placement of the sim.

Can someone help?
