WISP Solution in Indonesia

In the downtown area of Jakarta, we had enough of the outdated devices that would suddenly crash during peak hours, resulting in a lot of complaints about our Internet access service from customers.

 

After comparing with multiple venders, and taking both the performance and price into consideration. We choose TP-Link Pharos series as our best choice to build a new high performance network.

 

The remote region is about 10km from the broadband service provider’s location, and subscribers are each located approximately 1km from one another.

Backhaul Connection

We use Pharos base station WBS510 and dish antenna TL-ANT5830MD to form the backbone connection. The WBS510 shows unexpected performance to support wireless transmission over distances of 10 kilometers.

 

PtMP Coverage

We use WBS210 with TL-ANT2415MS, and CPE210 as receivers which installed at each subscriber’s location.

To eliminate the effects of troublesome wireless competition and signal collisions, we utilize proprietary MAXtream TDMA Technology to dramatically improve wireless performance, even in complex wireless environments. In other words, TDMA devices perform better than 802.11 devices when serving as components in large networks with many wireless clients. This contributes to the Pharos Solution's excellent performance in challenging wireless environments.

 

For the management platform, we use the Pharos Control to take full control of all pharos devices. No additional costs at all and very easy to use.

 

So far, the solution has functioned perfectly. It’s very amazing and the performance has exceeded even our wildest expectations. I would definitely continue to cooperate with TP-Link products in my future projects.
