I can confirm the issued has been resolved via a new beta firmware for my TL-R605 V1 router. I presume this release will be posted for wider availability soon.

Technician has advised that the issue has been confirmed to be with the router firmware and that a new beta version would be made available for testing in the next d couple of days.
