Can I daisychain PoE switches and pass the power down the daisy chain to another PoE switch (and then to the device to be powered)?

I have several EAP225 Access Points connected to a main TL-SG1005P PoE switch and all is working perfectly.

I also have an old non-PoE switch with several devices including an old AP connected to it. The switch is connected to the main TL-SG1005P PoE switch.

I want to swap the old AP for a new EAP225 powered by PoE.

If I swap the old switch for a secondary TL-SG1005P and connect the EAP225 to it will the secondary TL-SG1005P forward the PoE to it?

Not sure what you mean with »pass the power down the daisy chain«. The TL-SG1005P is a Powered Sourcing Equipment (PSE) which supplies power if detecting a Powered Device (PD) such as an EAP. It can not »pass« power to another switch, except the other switch would have a PD port like for example the T1500G-8T has for powering (only) the T1500G switch itself, but not other devices connected to the T1500G.

Of course you can connect two TL-SG1005P, but the second TL-SG1005P being also a PSE provides power itself to other PDs.

Example: your uplink on the first switch is port #5 (not PoE-capable). You have 3 EAPs on ports #1-#3 and connect port #4 to the second switch's port #5. Port #4 will not apply power on the line since the second switch is not a PD. Then you can connect four more EAPs on your second switch's ports #1-#4. But both switches need to get their power through their own power supply.
