Firmware Version: 5.0.1

Hello...

I have an eap110 and we've been sharing out internet with our large family for schoolwork etc,

Anyway we've now got fiber and I am thinking of adding an eap225 to give us a 5g option as well for piso wife - I can move the eap110 and use the eap225 as the main ap.

The main consumer habit is gaming "Mobile Legends"...

Is the eap225 a good choice for this and how much bandwidth do think each person would need ... I am thinking 3-4 mbps

Anything I need to tweak to optimize performance?

Thanks

The EAP225 also needs to connect to the router/ switch with a cable. As for the concept of main ap, this is something related to the mesh, which means that the second EAP can connect to the first EAP wirelessly, which is not accessible for the EAP110-outdoor.

So if you want to use two EAPs together, as well as provide the 5G signal band for your clients, just need to pay attention that the two EAPs are using a different channel on the 2.4G band. For example, EAP110-outdoor can use band 1, and EAP225 can use band 6 to reduce the overlap.

To change the channel, if you are using the Controller to manage the access point, you can go to "Device--AP--Config--Radius--2.4G/5G--Channel".

The detailed information of EAP you can search on their official website.
