I'm currently using pfSense to do inter-VLN forwarding and to provide mDNS services between my IOT VLAN and the main VLAN. In anticipation of higher bandwidth needs once I introduce video to the IoT VLAN, I was thinking of exploring using a L3 switch to do this in hardware instead of the CPU that pfSense is running on.

I have several web-managed switches but they don't do this of course. Is there a TP-Link switch that I should consider? 8-ports should be enough for me and I don't need PoE.

Hopefully I can configure it through a GUI but I'm okay to wade through CLI

Thanks

  @unmesh

I noticed it supports mDNS Repeater for Gateway and EAP on the controller, but I haven't seen it for switches yet.

As I known, it hasn't such switch which can meet your needs.

Just striving to develop myself while helping others.
