Unable to update Firmware 1.0.3 for ES205G v1.0
Unable to update Firmware 1.0.3 for ES205G v1.0

Since a couple of days a new firmware seems to be available for the ES205G v1.0
But somehow I am unable to do a firmware update, when trying to update via the OC200, I get the following error:
When trying a manually uploaded firmware:
I get the following error, it stops at 5% or sometimes 6% when sending the file:
What have I done so far:
tried to do an update via the OC200 = Failed
tried an update via the device management page = Failed
relocated the switch = same results
disabled pihole etcdisabled Switch ACL's
This is the first time I am upgrading an es205g via omada, never had this issue with upgrades of other devices.
The only test which i have not done is to remove the device from omada.
The OC200 v1 is currently running on 5.15.8.12
furthermore I have the following devices running via omada:
2x EAP225-Outdoor(EU)v1.0 Version: 5.1.7
3x EAP245(EU) v3.0 Version: 5.2.0
1x ER707-M2 v1.0 Version: 1.2.3
1x ES205G v1.0 Version: 1.0.1
1x SG2210P v5.20 Version: 5.20.10
1x SG2218 v1.20 Version: 1.20.9
3x TL-SG2210P v3.20 Version: 3.20.14

I just upgraded my OC200 to: 5.15.20.381.35.5 Build 20250326 Rel.41966
And tried a firmware update on the ES205G from 1.0.3 to 1.0.3 and it seems to work.

As the message says, the switch must have access to the controller's management port. Is it a local site or a remote site? Is the switch on the same network as the controller?

@MR.S It is a local site and all switches are indeed on the same network as the controller.

Strange, I have almost same switch (ES205GP) and it upgraded without any problems, but as the message says, the switch must have access to the management port, do you have something blocking it?

It's not exactly the same, my switch got 1.0.2 so not exactly the same firmware, maybe there's a bug in the version you're trying.

@MR.S Might be the case, as I have not found a 1.0.2 version for my device. only an 1.0.1 version which is currently installed on the device

Not that I am aware of, already tried to disable all ACL's and NAT rules including disabling my pihole. As far as I can see the devices are on the same vlan, without restrictions.

What happens if you try to install 1.0.1 then? You can install it even if it's the same one you have to test if you get the same error.

I have 2 ES205G units on local network. Both updated in omada without any issues at all.
However, other users have reported the same problems that you have with the same model, the fix was forget the device, update in standalone, readopt
Might be a controller issue.
Also, worth updating your OC200 to 5.15.20.35 which is the latest

@GRL removed the device from Omada, and upgraded to the latest version, readopted and all is fine.
Regarding the firmware update, when checking the OC200 updates the one I currently have seems to be the latest stable version, but I might be wrong..
Edit: found the OC200 firmware upgrade.....
