We’ve been hearing the same thing for a while: "I want 2.5G for my home lab or office, but I don't want to pay enterprise prices for a simple desktop switch. I don't need those advanced features"

We’re fixing that. The Omada 2.5G Agile Switches are here to democratize 2.5G connectivity.

  @liviu2004 I think the ES206XPP-M2 can only be rack-mounted using a tray, since it is compact size.

  @Penry.huang thx for the info.

To answer your question: I am using the ES201X-M2 next to my desk to connect embedded devices besides my regular laptop.

Unfortunately it seems it lacks some functionality compared to other ES-Series switches. Is there a plan to fix this?
One example is the health data:

In general I would love to have the IP address of connected devices even on ES switches. This would be very helful for me.

I knew when buying that there are limitations, but I never thought that would be basic features.

 Hi @TGadget, thank you for your feedback. For the "feature different with ES-gigabit series", it is because the new FW version of ES-2.5G series is still under developing (the shipping time of ES-2.5G series is later then ES-gigabit series, so the new FW release will also a bit later. But I'm sure the features of ES-2.5G series will have the same features with ES-gigabit series.

And about the Client IP issue, it is Layer3 packet, and limit by the switch chip and the processor/DRAM integrated in switch chip it barely can't process Layer3 packet (the chip of ES switch is almost the same of unmanaged, and the features of ES switch is more than unmanaged, but much lower with L2+ managed SG2210XMP-M2). We are doing our best to find a way to achieve show the wied client ip directly connect to ES-gigabit series and ES-2.5G series.    (BTW, the Unifi Flex switches which use the same level chip of ES switch also can't show client IP.)
